Fourth Grade

Welcome to Fourth Grade!

In the fourth grade classroom learning comes to life! Students move freely through engaging activities that are both challenging and fun.  From standing desks, counter stools, to the soft carpet and comfy couch in the library, every child is able to find a spot where they work best.

Students share their creativity through the use of different mediums to explore learning and build on cognitive pathways in the brain.

Religious Education

Fourth grade students work in the We Believe text from Sadlier to enhance their religious curriculum. The fourth grade curriculum focuses on knowledge of faith, doctrine, and prayer. Students pray together daily and regularly serve as liturgists at all school Masses. In addition, fourth grade is engaged in the Friendzy Program focusing on creating positive relationships and building community. Throughout the year service opportunities provide all students the power to impact others in the community and world as part of social justice.

Service Projects

Fourth grade students work as partners to Doernbecher Children's Hospital in creating Chemo Kits for Kids. Fourth graders collect supplies and arrange for delivery of Chemo Kits to Doernbecher in Portland.

Fourth graders work on technology in the computer lab, on iPads, in the classroom, and at home. Fourth graders meet MLA standard expectations on typed work, and use Google Apps for Education to complete school assignments. Google Classroom is used alongside many other sites such as, ThinkCentral, Epic!, Prodigy, and ConnectEd to enhance student learning.
